Larry Mendte, the Philadelphia news anchor, was officially charged for hacking into former co-anchor Alycia Lane’s personal email on Tuesday.

According to reports, Mendte, the former CBS affiliate KYW-TV anchor, hacked into Lane’s email hundreds of times for more than two years, leaking personal information that eventually caused Lane’s professional demise.

Mendte, 51, gained access to Lane’s accounts from home and at work, reportedly about 537 times between January and May alone, and shared some of the information he found with a reporter.

Mendte, who co-anchored the news with Lane for more than four years, with a felony count of intentionally accessing a protected computer without authorization. Mendte could face up to six months in jail if convicted of the charges.

Mendte was fired last month after FBI agents searched his home and seized his computer.

Lane was fired in January from KYW-TV after a series of embarrassing off-camera incidents, including a scuffle with a New York City police officer. She made national news by sending NFL TV anchor Rich Eisen bikini pictures to his personal email, which Eisen shares with his wife Suzy Shuster.

Thus far, Lane’s bikini pictures have not surfaced online, but several sites have placed Lane’s face on random bikini photos, in order to fool web surfers.

Authorities say that Mendte told a Philadelphia Daily News reporter information that helped the reported get the “scoop” on Lane’s criminal case. Authorities also found a picture of Lane in a bikini on Mendte’s personal computer.

Lane’s attorney cites jealousy as the main reason for Mendte’s hacking. In February 2005, Lane was making $780,000 a year, $100,000 more than Mendte. The two co-anchored the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. nightly broadcasts on KYW-TV from September 2003 until Lane was fired.

Mendte, who is married to local Fox news anchor Dawn Stensland, joined the station in July 2003 after several years at the local NBC affiliate. He previously co-hosted “Access Hollywood” and worked at stations in Chicago, San Diego and New York.

“Estelle Getty, the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV’s ‘The Golden Girls,’ has died. She was 84,” the Associated Press reports.

“The Golden Girls,” which ran on NBC from 1985 to 1992, was an immediate hit. Ms. Getty’s character, who began as a minor character, soon evolved into a major one.

Madonna wants to reunite Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. The 49-year-old singer is reportedly trying to get the former lovers to join her on stage for her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Madonna is always trying to raise the bar and Britney and Justin on the same stage would be perfect.” Madonna is said to be hoping to convince Britney and Justin - who split in 2002 after four years together - to appear with her on the final US date of the tour in Miami, in November.

The source added: “They have both been asked but I think they are both a bit reluctant. Britney would find it all a bit emotional and Justin might not be interested. More likely is that they will both appear at different dates.

But if anyone can make it happen it’s Madonna.” Britney, 26, has already recorded a video segment to be screened on the tour. Filmed in a lift, it shows her in a white vest getting hot and sweaty as she kicks and punches the walls.

Madonna has also asked Britney to appear live with her as a surprise guest at some dates on the tour. Justin, 27, was heavily involved with the making of Madonna’s latest album ‘Hard Candy’, and Madonna has also asked him to duet with her during the tour.

Justin appears on her worldwide hit single ‘4 Minutes’ from the new album and has writing credits on five of its tracks. Madonna’s ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour kicks off in Cardiff, Wales, on August 23, and takes in Europe, North America and Mexico.

The Scientology ritual is called the Purification Rundown or Purif. People going through this ritual take what they refer to as “vitamin bombs” that supposedly rids their bodies of toxins.

Sources report that Scientology founder Hubbard recommends dosages in his teachings that are well above the safe limits, in some cases as much as 142 times more than the toxic level. The side effects of such huge overdoses range from liver damage, hair loss, brain swelling and nausea up to fatal heart and respiratory failure.

This body cleanse also prescribes huge doses of niacin, which can cause liver damage, peptic ulcers, and skin rashes.

Casey Johnson and Courtenay Semel, are said to be dating. Both daughters of affluent families, have they found love in their lesbian relationship? Also interesting, Courtenay Semel was Lindsay Lohan’s former bff, could she have been Lohan’s first lesbian lover?

Courtenay Semel, the daughter of former Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel, and Casey Johnson, heiress to the Johnson & Johnson family fortune, are “very much dating,” says a friend. Casey Johnson, who had recently announced she would be moving to New York, “decided to ditch Manhattan for good and stay in Los Angeles” to be with Semel.

It seems this relationship comes as quite a surprise to friends. One source said, “People are shocked they are together. Nobody realized Casey was interested in women.”

Some people think it could have been Casey Johnson’s failed relationship with former boyfriend, John Dee, that opened Casey up to a relationship with Courtenay Semel. Rumors circulated that Casey’s own aunt, Libet Johnson, took John Dee away from Casey. Friends say that Casey Johnson and Semel “are legitimately happy.”

Casey Johnson and Courtenay Semel were recently spotted holding hands at an event in LA and very friendly at Paris Hilton’s housewarming party. The couple was also spotted in New York and enjoyed a romantic dinner at Nello Wednesday night, where spies say “they were staring into each other’s eyes and left holding hands.”

“Their families don’t yet know they’re together,” said the source. “But the clans have known each other for years and will surely be thrilled with the billionaire merger.”

Casey Johnson has an adopted Kazhakstani daughter,Ava, and one friend told Page Six, “Courtenay loves the child. The relationship is very fresh, but Court really does love them both.”

Courtenay Semel was previously rumored to be dating and living with Lindsay Lohan, who is now said to be romantically dating dj, Samantha Ronson. Could it be that Courtenay Semel turned Lindsay Lohan on to the “lezzie side”?

On December 18, 1983, Hogan married Linda Claridge. They have a daughter Brooke (born May 5, 1988) and a son Nick (born July 27, 1990). In recent years Hogan has made his personal life the centerpiece of the television show Hogan Knows Best, which includes his two children and his wife.

Hogan’s 17 year old son Nick was indicted as an adult on four criminal charges on November 7, 2007. These charges stemmed from an August car accident, which injured John Graziano to the point where he will be in a nursing home the rest of his life. She may be going through a nasty divorce, but that’s not stopping Linda Bollea (Hulk Hogan’s estranged wife) from having a good time now and then.

Our spies tell us Linda and family partied the night away on Saturday at Floyd’s inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. Daughter Brooke (who looked great at the Grammys on Sunday — see right) and son Nick were on hand, but Floyd’s is a 21-and-up crowd, so they left early. But 48-year-old Mama Hogan held it down in the VIP area, as evidenced by these paparazzi shots.

Meanwhile, the St. Pete Times reported over the weekend that the National Enquirer’s John Blosser contacted Linda’s lawyer, A.J. Barranco Jr., with a letter seeking comment for an article the rag was writing about “her erratic behavior, her drinking habits and her verbally abusive language” toward Hulk and the kids.

Barranco replied in another letter that Linda was a “stay-at-home mom during their entire marriage,” and the children still live with her. He also says that Hulk and Blosser were compadres, with the wrassler referring to him as “my guy in the tabloids.”

And as far as the drinking, Barranco cops that Linda “sought an evaluation of herself at the Betty Ford Clinic.” But they apparently “found no issues and she was sent home after less than one week.”

Saying such allegations often arise in bitter divorces, Barranco insisted the case “will be resolved on the legal merits and true facts, not on the ‘he-man tactics.’ This case will be tried in court and we shall see a ‘smackdown’!!”

On November 20, 2007, Hogan’s wife Linda filed for divorce in Pinellas County, Florida. Hulk told St. Petersburg Times he wasn’t even aware of the filing when the paper called for a comment. The Graziano family’s lawyer believes the divorce might be an attempt to divide the family’s assets from a planned civil suit against the Bolleas regarding their son, Nick Bollea.
Just saw the name Linda Bollea and had no idea who it was. It turns out it is Linda Hogan. Yeah, the same Linda who got divorced from Hulk Hogan. The same Linda who is dating some 19 year old boy. Which is gross by the way. So year, Linda Bollea is Linda Hogan.

Linda Bollea is kind of an odd person to me. She’s a huge lover of animals. She’s so crazy she actually considered adopting a baby chimpanzee. Now she’s dating a 19 year old. LOL. She’s a fairly easy going parent and may be one of the reason Nick Hogan is in jail.

She like the rest of the family looks like bleach blond white trash, and based of Linda’s new boyfriend, it seems appropriate.

Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann (born 1983 in New York City) is an American fashion model. Roman Polanski is such a mercurial and evasive creature that we will surely never hear the true story behind his 1977 rape charge and subsequent flight from the US. But Marina Zenovich’s documentary, Wanted and Desired, up-ended a few of my own assumptions. The film screened at Cannes yesterday and offers a bleak view of the legal machinations behind the case. Both prosecutor and defender were of the same opinion that the judge (if not the law itself) was an ass.

It’s not that Zenovich’s film attempts to whitewash its subject. Polanski has never denied having sex with 13-year-old Samantha Gailey and even cheerfully admits he was fully aware of her age at the time. And despite his friends and colleagues lining up to explain what a “charismatic” fellow he is, he remains as defiantly dislikeable as ever. For much of the film Polanski comes across as a preening, insecure smart-aleck. He mistakes amorality for abandon and leaves a trail of mess in his wake.

No, it is simply that the ensuing legal circus risks making him look halfway honourable by comparison. Some might call it karma. Just as it was Gailey’s unhappy fate to run up against Roman Polanski in excitable Austin Powers mode, so it was Polanski’s unhappy fate to later run up against Judge Rittenband. A star-struck, skirt-chasing buffoon, Rittenband regarded the case as his big moment in the limelight and proceeded to direct its twists and turns like some puffed-up Hollywood martinet. All the really important stuff - the victim, the accused, the search for justice - played a distant second fiddle to the Rittenband ego.

Zenovich also nails the media’s handling of the case, and its depiction of the defendant as some “malignant, twisted dwarf”; the foreign interloper with a taste for young American flesh. One friend points out that the press traditionally views Polanski as “a man of darkness” and has always confused the man with his movies. He made The Tenant so must therefore be a transvestite. He made Chinatown and is therefore a paedophile. He made Rosemary’s Baby and is thus in league with Satan. When Sharon Tate was murdered by supporters of Charles Manson, the media insisted that he must be at least tangentially responsible.

Wanted and Desired goes some way towards setting the record straight. It interviews most of the people involved in the case, including Gailey herself (who publicly forgave Polanski in 1997). Along the way it paints a portrait of a fascinating, brilliant, untrustworthy man. Polanski was seduced by California and it ate him up. He did wrong and was wronged. That doesn’t make him the victim here but it at least merits some sympathy.

In light of her recent scathing reprimands from ex-husband Charlie Sheen and his father Martin, Denise Richards has relied on her family for love and support.

Yesterday the “Wild Things” actress was spotted spending some serious dough at the Juicy Couture boutique at Cross Creek in Malibu, California. And by her side was her father, Irv Richards.

Speaking of family, Denise recently told press that when it comes to talking body image, she tries to make sure she doesn’t indirectly rub off on her daughters.

She asserted, “I’ll never talk about weight around them. And they’ll never hear me say, ‘Mommy’s feeling fat today.’ That kind of attitude just makes young girls grow up to be dissatisfied with their bodies.”

Instead, Richards tries to set a good example for Sam (4) and Lola (2) by staying active and working out on a regular basis. “Working out is part of my life, not just an I-have-to-get-ready-for-a-photo-shoot thing. I exercise almost every day. The girls usually play in the workout room with me, so they’re learning by example.”

The news reports that Anastasia Romanov might be the long lost Grand Duchess Anastasia of Russia. Now, just who is Anastasia Romanov ? Anastasia Romanov is the daughter of the last tzar of Russia, Nicholas II with his wife, Alexandra. Anastasia Romanov has sibilings Olga, Tatiana, Maria and a brother named Alexei.

After the abdication of Nicholas II on March 15, 1917, the imperial family with Anastasia Romanov were suddenly prisoners and at this time, Anastasia Romanov and a few of her sibilings were actually suffering from measles, so they were confined to their beds and kept prisoners in their own palace. However, one day, the soldiers burst into the room and started firing and killed Anastasia Romanov parents instantly. The whole family including the servant has either been gunned down or have been bayoneted to death.

Of course, at this time, Anastasia Romanov also was bayoneted several times. The rest of the imperial family were thrown into a mine shaft or thrown with acid and burnt.

News has stated that a women named Anna Anderson was claimed to be the real Anastasia Romanov. Some questioned on how come she was not dead even after the repeated bayoneting by the soldiers ? She claims that the soldiers guns were blunt that’s why she didn’t die. Many of the close relatives of the Imperial family met Anna Anderson and claims that she is really the real Anastasia Romanov.

Scientific testing was done to determine if the woman was really the real Anastasia Romanov.It was found that Anna Anderson and Anastasia Romanov has physical similarities. They both have foot deformities and anthropologist who studied their photographs found their faces to be very similar to the extend that they claim that either the two person must be the same or a very identical twin.

This latest Paris Hilton sex tape was discovered possibly a year ago, but was never able to leak out to the masses.

Luckily for you, Paris is always doing things to stay in the public and recently in case you missed it there were a bunch more videos of her doing all kinds of things from smoking pot to giving head were released…

In the end it came down to the two guys that deserved most to be there - David Cook and David Archuleta. The contest is over. The votes have been counted. But starting at 8pm EST we’ve got 2 hours and about 55 minutes or so until one of them is named the American Idol.

The top 12 will reunite on stage and we will be forced to sit through some most likely really cheesy numbers. I’m assuming at some point everyone (or at least the Davids) will be clad all in white. [Cheesy number with all the Idols dressed in white in the first 5 minutes]. The dancing will be horrible. [It was…especially Amanda Overmeyer who looks like she would rather stand naked in Alaska than be on the Idol tour.] Jason Castro will look annoyed [and high]. Syesha, Carly and Michael will remind us that they all went home to early [yup, way too early]. Brook White will probably cry, or at least want to cry but then forget that she wanted to cry and ask that they start the finale all over again. [Ok maybe not but she was reading the lyrics off the teleprompter during her duet. Oh Brooke].

Ugh, start praying now that we don’t have to sit through the Golden Idol Awards, or for that matter anything involving Kelly Pickler and Wolfgang Puck. [Thankfully the Golden Idols have been retired. Instead we got “I am your brother, your best friend forever.” I was thrilled.]
